So I finally had my surgery this week after years of living with this painful condition.
In the past few months it had caused me to miss work on multiple occasions, coming up with random excuses was getting redundant so I came clean with my boss.. told him whats been going on, and took time off for surgery.
I had the LIS, Fissurectomy, and a hemroid removal all at once last thursday.
Ouch. First few days wern't that bad.. However I pretty much slept 20 hours a day for the following days until now.
I was prescribed a shitload of pain medicine, but i'd been abusing pain medicine for a while just to be able to work with the fissure, so I finished off my prescription in the first few days. No smart, I know.. tolerance is a bitch and it's clogged me up.
I'm 6 days post surgery with no bowel movement. I have been taking laxatives, fiber, but up until today i've just been terrified to use the restroom. It's starting to get very uncomfortable, and I know I shouldn't wait much longer so i followed my doctors advise and bought magnesium citrate, which is supposed to clean you out and make it very very watery.. hopefully this works.
Anybody else put off a bowl movement after surgery? I know I should have gone by day 3, but I was in so much pain I didnt want to get off the sofa, let alone use the restroom. Im about to drink this and will follow up and let you guys know how my recovery continues
