Anal fissure healing process

good afternoon to all, i have anal issure for about a year ,i went to my doctor treatment and one year later im with no longer pain and just a few spasms.Last week she said that im no longer with the fissure ,but the skin in that area stills very sensitve and sometimes i still feel burning and some spasms.Is it normal in the healing proccess?how many time takes to back to normal?

That is normal I would say, but it sounds as you definitely have a chronic fissure and it seems like healing has been slow for sure. Have you considered seeing a colorectal surgeon? Not necessarily for surgery, but to consult with about your healing.

I was told also by my family doctor that I was healed, but still get spasms and burning. When I went back to my colorectal surgeon, she said nope, not healed yet! I think they are just used to dealing with fissures and are better able to tell what's going on.

the doctor was a colorectal and stomach specialist ,what do you think?
and i noticed last week little bright blood but this time without pain.thanks a lot!

Ah ok. Have you been using a special cream, like nifedipine or nitro?

the doctor told me to stop using, i used 6 moths rectrogesic(or spasms) and hemofissural,now i only take stool softeners and a lot o water ,are you healed?

Have they offered you any options like Botox or a lateral internal sphincteronomy (LIS)?

I am much better, but have pain still from spasms. I am having LIS tomorrow.

no ,they said that i dont need lis or botox ,at least i no longer have pain so i hope the fissure is healing....

i heard that can take a lot of time to heal , i quit smoking too. smoking reduce the blood flow ...doesnt help to heal anything.cheers
