Blood on TP

Postby ac1198 » 07 Dec 2022, 13:17

have had a fissure for about three years. It’s mild except if I have more than 1 bm a day. I always gets so upset when I see blood on the tp. Recently I noticed blood on the tp in the am. Not to sound gross but the day/ night before I had three bm, and then through the course of the night , behind human and passing gas ect. That AM I wiped and saw a reddish color that I assume was from the fissure.

I have terrible anxiety and my mind goes straight to terrible things.

I try to check myself and say.

1. You have an active fissure that hurts sometimes a little sometimes a lot.

Just need some encouragement and reassurance. This can be so tiring and frustrating. Having an anxiety disorder does not help.

Thank you.

Hi there, it's definitely not pleasant to see blood down there, have you seen a specialist about it though?
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Yes. Saw a crs a while back. There is the presence of a fissure. Since I already had lis for a bad one in 2015 she recommended Botox to relax the muscle even more. Creams aren’t working.

I guess it’s normal to have an injury down there and see blood from time to time. Usually not during bms, but that does happen from time to time especially if constipated. Afraid of anesthesia cause I have bad sleep apnea, so I haven't gotten it fixed or tried to fix it. I wish there was something I could do, but I have tried everything I can think of.

The Botox was a temporary window to heal the fissure back in 2015. That window has closed. Your anxiety will lead to stress which will not help your fissure heal. Normally I'd say you need to do the LIS surgery. But you already had an LIS? I have no idea if they are allowed to do another one. I am so vigilant to avoid another chronic issue (I am at a normal weight after losing 50 pounds, I try to walk a few miles a day, I drink lots of water, I do a sitz bath anytime I have a little irritation, I will even use my finger to break up a big BM that is hard to pass so I never have any fissures or bleeding (and no straining). I will NOT suffer ever again!

Best of luck to you.
