Botox fissurectomy Post-op

Postby Rebsyp0395 » 02 Aug 2021, 11:57

Hi, I have just recently had Botox fissurectomy procedure done. I’m 6 days post-op and have been somewhat struggling especially with bowel movements (apologies I hope this is allowed). Pain is still bad and is maybe worse than before I had the procedure done. I know it’s still early days but just wanted to know everyone else’s experiences.
I’m eating lots of fruit veg and fibre in general as well as no meats or spices etc.
Thanks in advance! 8)

Check out BumUK's diary botox-sentinel-pile-removal-and-fissurectomy-diary-t11940.html. She did a pretty detailed account of her experience. I hope you heal and are pain free very soon.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block

8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
Currently in pelvic physical therapy

Hi, thanks for that it’s definitely a good read and quite an insight!
After a bowel movement today however I’m still in agony and discomfort which is why I’m worried about going back to work? How did everyone else fare when going back to work or did u have a long time off?(nice employers lol)!
Thanks again :)

Hi! Good thanks :) at the beginning it was a bit sketchy and I was worried, I had tremendous pain after bm that I would have to lay down in bed for an hour or so after. but then after 2 weeks or so it started improving. I went back to work after about 2 & a half weeks and have actually been ok. A little sore sometimes in the area and discomfort when going for a bm. But otherwise ok! For now anyway haha

Hey there - how are you doing now you are another week along? Do you think you’ve healed? How long did you have your fissure for? Sorry for all the questions! I hope you are keeping well and continuing to improve!
