Before my botox I pretty much just had pain during BM. After botox things have been so much worse. Pain for hours after BM, can't sit or stand for most of the day, and worse pain.
I'm thinking, if botox relaxed the muscle a little and it got worse (don't know why, maybe other muscles spasming to compensate or something?), and LIS relaxes the muscle even more, and irreversibly, would getting LIS be a bad idea?
Or would even getting another round of botox make it worse/better?
Anyone have experience with this? Much appreciated!
My first CRS did Botox. I didn't notice any change. My second CRS said Botox was going to wear off after 9 months and I would be back to where I was anyway. So I did the LIS and since October 2020 life has been back to NORMAL. No creams, no ointments, no Botox, no witch hazel, no Prep H, no suppositories, no niphedipine, no Rectiv, no hydrocortisone, no pain killers, no natural remedies - nothing!
My personal advice having suffered for over 6 years, having done all those treatments, having had Botox and having had an LIS - definitely consider the LIS if you are suffering. My CRS says everyone tells him the same thing, "Why didn't I do this sooner?!!" Well we all know why - surgery is always a last resort; especially in a sensitive area like that! But it worked for me and every time I go to the bathroom I smile and thank my CRS for saving my life!
