LIS scar

Postby Corsi » 03 Mar 2009, 11:54

I had LIS about a week ago, and I am amazed that I cannot see the LIS scar...
Has anyone else experienced the same? It's not that I have to see the scar, but I think is really strange that I cannot. It is supposed to heal from the inside out and one should think that it should think that it would be visible.. Image

The cut is by the anus outside on the left or the right side and is done through normal dermis - not a mucosa . Dermis heals fast and if cut is small as is with a LIS (about 5-7 mm), than it heals fast and closes completely without scarring. I am sure you did cut your fingers with knife many times in the kitchen and I am also sure you can not see any scars ; ))) ! LIS cut is not healing inside out - epidermis heals first on the surface of the cut. My cuts closed in 2 days each. What heals inside-out is fissure that is INSIDE the anus and that is mucous tissue that heals slow ....painstakingly slow.
Hope it clarified your question : ))

Thanks Fissy, and yes it did, but the thing is that I cannot see anything at all now. Have hardly seen anything, maybe mine closed like yours after 2 days?
If it is closed, then there should be no risk for infection either?

You are welcome babes Image
Now, Corsi - I hate to spoil the fun Image , but infection can happen as long as the fissure is open and even if it closes but not correctly Image BUT- it is very small chance !!!!! :paddysmiley1:  :paddysmiley1:
