..........CSI: My-ANUS

Postby Guest » 21 May 2013, 09:57

Wish I could post without rejoining but, a recent scrape on my elbow just brought back memories.
Here's what I mean: I see a lot of you here wondering if you are healing or not or if blood in their stools is a setback when you thought you were healing. I've had similar experience also where blood in the stools made me worry. But all was well and healing continued.
What happened??? How come blood in the stools???
Thats where the scrape on the elbow comes in. I took a nasty fall recently and I clean ripped the skin off my elbow. So I started wondering I bet this would sting like hell if BM had to pass over it like with our fissures. With just the scrape itself there was a constant burning sensation, kinda like we get "down there".
After so many days, naturally a scab developed. But guess what, it was still very sore to touch, even with a scab over it. Now, as I would put a covering over that developing scab, it became quite soft and moist and the scab would turn from blackish to light-brownish.
About a week or so later I see that the scab is just about ready to come off on its own. So I kinda give it a helping hand and start tugging at it. I know I really should leave it alone but I tug at it some more.
Guess what, a little pinhead size blood trickled out from the corner of the tugged at scab.
Do you see what I'm saying. Is this not what is going on down there with our fissures that are healing. I think so. So I'd thought I would try to alleviate any undue concern some may have if after many great BM's and no pain, that you come upon the occasional blood in the stools.
Your BM, like the little tugs of my elbow scab may just ever so lightly took off a part of the scab, and of course, down there, the scab is much easier to upset.

I really like this theory! and it make sense.......
Funny how we think the same things Rich - I also thought some form of medical "glue" would be a fab idea for "sticking" the a fissure back together again! but just doesn't work that way!........ :)
