Just out of curiosity, how many times a day does anyone use the Diltiazem, i'm only supposed to use it twice a day but have recently ignored that and used it 4 or 5 times.

My instructions said twice daily, but I think when I used it heavily, I would use it in the am b/4 bm and then in the aft b/4 bm and then at bedtime=3 times daily. Are you getting it inside??????

I use mine more times a day than suggested too. Mostly because I usually poop several times throughout the day :) I can't see how 2 times a day would be sufficient unless you only poop once in the morning.

Cheryl, on my tub of ointment it says for external use only, i'm also ignoring that and putting some inside, generally I wait until after each BM then apply some more and since I go more than once then i'm applying it 4 or 5 times a day :)

NG, I agree, I don't see how twice a day would be sufficient, for instance I could apply it then need a BM and the ointment is wiped off and probably doesn't have time to work, so now i'm just applying it whenever I feel the need, I can't see it doing any harm since the harm is already done!

Steve,
I think if you get it inside, it would dissolve into the membranes and not be wiped off!

i think that a singel dose of diltiazem cream is 20mg, so if you have a cream with 0.2 % its like 2mg in 1g of cream. I thing that 2mg its nothing for diltiazem its good if it was NitroG or nifendipin. I made one from tablets of my grandmother she take ditiazem 90 mg .So i have to crush in havan 22 tablets and give a 100ml of its call lekobasa. so you have 2% diltiazem :) no perfect one. I think is better to put some lidocain from other creams and it will bi very good :)
