Igrik do you feel better than before you had lis? How long will you wait before trying something else? I hope you completely heal too. Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy but glad I'm not alone here.

I'm sorry you're not getting the results you were hoping for hopefulbutt.... But try to remember, we are all different, and some people heal faster than others. Just give yourself a little more time to heal... Try not to worry just yet.... It really is early days for you.
Just imagine you had a deep cut anywhere else on your body.... It really would take a good 2-3 weeks to start healing ... And then factor in the location of a fissure.... And the daily stretching, and exposure to feacees... It just makes sense that it would take time. X

Thanks owmybum. Trying to be patient. I need to stop reading everyone else's posts and just try to stop worrying. Nothing else I can do but pray.

Thanks Rachel. No change yet. Lis site is healing great but my fissure hurts as bad as ever. I will probably call to see Crs again in a week if things don't improve. I feel looser but I am not sure if I am loose enough. The muscle is still sore and still pooping a knife. :(
How are you doing?

Sorry hopeful that the Fissure still hurts, I would see the CRS just to check things out. Maybe it will take more time...
I am not good, back to re-tear again, and i am waiting to see new CRS.... I just want to get off the roller coaster now, as we all do. It's just soul destroying when things don't go as we would like. Keep going hopeful, I know you will get there, one way or another. Xxxx

I understand your pain. I know exactly how it feels when this issue does not go well. I would say this is the most barbaric fissure in life which is so difficult to deal with. When do you have the appointment? Your doctor might want to look at the fissure site. But its too early for the fissure to heal. Mine healed in two months after the op. If you feel somewhat looser then its great. It will work out. I felt the pain till 20 days o guess.

Thanks for the hope skymar but I am already at day 20 and my fissure feels worse than before the lis. And she did by do a fissurectomy. It just tore much during surgery. I don't have an appointment scheduled yet. I will call this week and see when I can get in. I am not sure I should have had lis done at all, my fissure was much smaller and I was at lest managing pretty well before. But I was hoping to totally heal it- now I feel worse. In the beginning I definelty felt looser but not now, I'm not sure why- bms are much harder to pass now and even passing gads hurts. I can clearly see that the fissure is open- the part outside. Feel exhausted from pain and really down still. Can't ell but wonder if she didn't cut enough, would she consider doing a second lis on a female?

Resurrecting this thread. How long did the pain continue after the LIS? I am having a similar thing with some slight pain still following a bm. I'm about 12 days out. Did the pain go away for either of you?
