GTN 2%

Hi All,
My first post here, I've had a fissure since about June, and only got around to seeing the doctor about it a few weeks ago. Started off with some suppositories & Hydrocortisone cream (and psyllium fibre supplements). The meds made no difference at all (supplements a big difference to ease), so we moved on to the GTN cream.

From what I read online, it looks like it's common to prescribe the 0.2-4% GTN creams. I've been prescribed Percutol 2% cream. Everything on the box and paper describe this as for Angina. Headaches are bad, but tolerable, burning on application is pretty awful for a minute, then dies down.

It seems to be working - first visit to the loo without bleeding in 6 months was today - about 4 days into the 8 week course.

Does anyone have experience of being given this?
