healing after LIS

Postby pdpkumar » 05 Jan 2015, 12:52

Hello everyone.
I had my LIS 1 week ago.Though the bowel movements are normal with less pain than earlier, the
pain that is being caused due to the surgery has not yet come down.
I am not able to sit properly because of this pain.
I am worried as to why this pain is existing even after 1 week.
I am using stool softeners and also undergoing sitz bath.
Is it normal for the pain to be present for 1 or 2 weeks after surgery or is it just happening to me?
Any Help and feedback is appreciated
Thank You.

pdpkumar, recovery takes at least two weeks, so have patience. Happy to hear you have less pain during BMs. If you read some of the stories in here, you'll see that most people were back to normal after a couple of weeks. However, some people need several weeks before they are back to 'normal'. Remember you had - surgery -. Try to relax and keep your stools soft and you'll get there!
best of luck <3

No problem :) Give it a few more days and it will probobly settle down. And I'll be right behind you, I'm getting my LIS on thursday(I hope). I also think most people have to use some kind of painkillers after the surgery, dont know if you've been given any. Just remember to stay away from the ones that makes the stools harder :)
