Again, thanks folks. Just an update.....strange course all this has taken. The hemmies have actually increased in number and some are now getting bigger. Pain is minimal when I am prone, so been in bed for 6 days now, and absolutely NO relief; sitz baths ~ 4x day, hot water, using tucks/witch hazel and a cream called NeoHealar---nice stuff, all herbal (aloe included) cycles of hot baths, then ice----NOTHIN'! still large and more numerous---what gives?? Going back to surgeon tomorrow to weigh options---I DON'T want a heemy-ectomy, I've already lost too much work and I have a very demanding (but exciting and I love it) job, so need to be myself again!
Oh well, if there i any more relevant advice, I'm here working in bed......'sigh'
Thanks
J

Hey JChem, I'm guessing you already saw the CRS, so just wanted to say that I hope things went well. I don't think thrombosed hemorrhoids normally require a full hemorrhoidectomy operation, so if that's what it was, here's hoping maybe the CRS was able to take care of it today already.

Thanks NG---actually good news....they were evidently not thrombosed, just inflamed, and he was very optimistic for full recovery by just letting them settle. Had some hard "nodes" crop up which I ascribed to thromboses, but he said they were the sentinel piles associated with fissure/surgery healing. Thus I am back on the proctosol/analpram for a few days covered with Tucks, lay down, ice, sitz baths...repeat.
Thanks all
Joe

Well, I won't say conquered quite yet---these hard "nodes" call them are actually worse today after a (soft, as I try and keep it) BM ---throbbing pain and tightness---I hope they will reduce as did my biggest hemmy so far (it was wondrous to see that "grape" shrivel---(could not believe the size of it and the pain)......so back to bed today, but I need to get back to work Tuesday!!! Let's hope for the best
Thanks again for the cheers!

Oh , sorry Jchem :( that today is not so good day for you : (.
But, you know, it is notorious butt attribute - they are unpredictable and progress is ALWAYS back and forth , but with a steady trend -forward : ))) !!!!!!! It is, of course, very taxing on out nerves : (((( since we than also have emotional ups and downs *sigh and that is so frustrating : ((. We feel that as soon as we start being happy something has to smack us over the head and push us down : (((. Worst torture really : (((. Some days I am still feeling effects of that and am very cautious to REALLY get happy about ANYTHING : (((.
Happy healing : )))) Image
