Hi there,
I hope everybody is doing well on their healing process! It is surprising to see that many people have similar stories about AF. I ll try to tell my story shortly.
I have been suffering from AF for over 2 years without knowing it is an AF actually. I thought it was hemorrhoid. I think i got this becoz of the often-occured constipation as a result of unbalanced diet, lack of water consumption and so on. I had times which i didnt go for a BM for 3-4 days! Imagine!!!
I am having painfull BMs, bleedind, sleepless nights becoz of pain, itchy feeling, being hell scared of going to washroom (leading more severe constipation) and so on. I guess you al are familiar with these problems. Such a pain in the a** eh?!
Well, after i read informations on websites, i changed my diet which has high-fibre, lots of water, no alcohol, flax seed supplement, even broccoli (i'd never think that i'd like to buy broccoli as i am a meat-lover person). At first they seemed to help; however, i didnt need a BM for 3-4 days again till last night! So, finally, i decided to go to a doctor today.
Well, she wasnt a specialist in my concern, it was just a walk-in clinic. I told her my situation and she confirmed me. She prescribed me on "ratio-PROCTOSONE" as both ointment and suppositories; also "Lax A Day" and "Docusate Sodium 100 mg". I am really wondering how i will manage to put those suppositories "in there"!! She told me to use those medications for 2-3 weeks. If it doesnt seem to help, she will refer me to a specialist. (btw, how are those specialists called?)
We will see what the tie will bring for me. I REALLY HOPE it will be ok. Becoz this is really lowering the life quality and makes you go through the hell. In my languagae there is a saying " May God doesn't let this happen even to my enemy". I totally agree that on AF issue.
It is so good to know that i am alone on this path. Thanks to everyone for being here and support!!!
p.s. English is my second language, so i might have done some mistakes. Sorry for that!
Hope everyone has a good, painless day!

and (2) long term use can thin out the skin which isn't good for the fissure and can stop it from healing, basically suppositories are not the right treatment for anal fissures, speak to your GP about nitro (Rectogesic) this will relax the sphincter when applied.
