I feel lost anal fissure is not healing

Postby Emmab » 31 Jul 2020, 17:48

Hi guys

I don't even know where to begin I've had this for while now I thought it was normal to have cuts and didn't think anything of it. I don't even know what to eat I've lost weight from not eating enough I only have 1 slice of seeded bread in the morning with chickpeas and one at night and also all brand cereal but I tried eating more stuff and that's when I suffer when going to the toilet. I'm on a laxative and trying to drink more water which is something I don't usually do. Sorry for complaining on here but I feel it's the worse it's been constant for a few months and I feel depressed like there's only one way out. I was also doing sitz baths but then I got intertrigo by my tailbone from sitting in water too much and then I couldn't even sit properly it felt like tears in my skin on my tailbone but that's finally healing.

Sorry to hear that you're suffering. Have you seen a doctor about your situation yet?

Thanks yes I did go to the doctor but I first did a a consult over the phone and then I had seen him in person to check the intertrigo by my tailbone and he did a check up but only commented on the intertrigo he didn't say much about the fissures he just told me to keep using the ointment. It's called scheriproct but I'm abit worried cause it says not to use for more than 7days and it's been over a month it did feel like I was getting better and I tried eating something different a wrap with beans and soy mince two days ago but that seem to have made it worse and my bm hurt and the cuts open again.

I wish that I could be more helpful, but it sounds like you should reach out to your doctor again, or have him refer you to a specialist. Have you been diagnosed with fissures, or could you just have intertrigo? Scheriproct seems to be a product recommended for hemorrhoids, and perhaps for intertrigo? And did your doctor say that you should be using it this long? Did he say that you should follow up if the cream didn't help over a period of a week or so?

I forgot to mention I use to get it often but it would be fine within a week but this time my dad told me to take colomag and that made my tummy run twice a day and it made the cuts worse and when I called the health store they said the dose my dad was taking was too harsh on me seeing as I'm tiny I think that's why it's not healing.

The scheriproct got fissures written on it but I know it has to be fissures cause I can feel the cuts and it hurts when I go to the toilet. I'm using a different cream for the intertrigo and it's working I don't have any pain in that area anymore. The doctor didn't say much the examination didn't go well too he was rough with me I don't think I will go back to him but I think maybe I should see a specialist.

I don't know where you're located, but I hope that you can see someone else soon. You really need a professional diagnosis and treatment for this, especially if your current doctor didn't say or do anything about what might be fissures (how could he miss them?). Things are much more difficult these days, but if you find a good doctor, he or she should be able to set you on the road to recovery.
