anal fissure not healing

Postby ithurtsbad » 22 Sep 2015, 13:49

Painful after BM's , many hours. It never fails. As any heard of Nefidipine ? I went to GS general surgeon and she said that I had a fissure. Hemmies were always been issue wit me for around 8 years but now this.
Nefidipine compound was prescribed, basically petroleum jell with 0.4% nefidipine.
I'm not convinced that it's helping heal th wound. Any advise?

:wel: to the forum!

You need to use the Nifedipine for 8 weeks, regularly, before you can say it has not worked. I used Nifedipine and Diltiazem with relative success (they both are inclined to give rashes after long-time use). Do not try to insert it; using on the outside is fine as it enters the bloodstream. After using both Diltiazem and Nifedipine, I used dilation and that did the trick for me. There is a plethora of information on here about the cream - use the search under the photo between FAQ and Portal where you can search by topic.
