Is nerve pain possible with Anal Fissure

Postby peaceplease » 05 Nov 2016, 20:38

I am new here. Have had AF for 15 years. Off and on. Have a skin tag from the chronic fissures. Able to manage the AF with sitz baths when they are flared up. Often get one in the same area. Bleeds. Aches. Pounding pain when it's at its worse.
Right now I have something new going on and am not sure the AF can cause this. I have an AF on the left side. Next to the skin tag. It's pretty deep. I also have INTENSE nerve pain on that side of the anus and perineum and also into the vaginal lip on that side and also into the inner and outer thigh. I can't even touch my skin it's so painful to the touch as the never is enflamed.
I have NO idea if AF could irritate be nerves and cause this type of pain?!? It's truly hell and I am miserable.
Has anybody ever had something like this or could a deep AF cause radiating nerve pain into the areas I am describing.
I have never had AF surgery etc. can't find a thi of on the web about this.
Thank you.

Nerve pain is fairly pain, but usually when an AF is 'active'. I had a lot of pain; in my vagina, all around that region, and my coccyx too. It was awful. Only time worked for me, but maybe it is worth seeing a gynecologist for answers.

Sorry, not much help, but here are a few posts that you might like to glance through:

Yes, I have had nerve pain along with my fissure, and after it healed. It takes a good while for your nerves to stop sending pain signals, even after you have healed.
Have you spoken to your dr about this? You may need some physio to loosen your muscles up, and release the nerves.
