LIS Patients: When Did the Fear of a BM Go Away?

Postby Tight5 » 12 Mar 2014, 10:06

I'm curious to know when you had that moment that you realized you no longer feared going to the bathroom. How long after the LIS surgery?

I'm almost 2 weeks out and, while my experience has been steadily improving with nowhere near the pain of going with a fissure, I still have some trepidation when I take the seat.

Thanks.

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks out from my surgery, and in the last week I have had a real improvement. I haven't had pain with BM in a week at least. I did have some serious itching though!

Hang in there, before you know it you'll be saying "Fissure WHO?" Your butt won't even remember what it felt like to have the fissure in the first place.

I am two months and a week post surgery and I still fear BMs every day though much less than before. Meaning I am way more conscious of my diet and how it will pan out the next day. I think that will never go away...
