Re: New York City Doctor Rec

I highly recommend Dr. Ravi Kiran, he's the colorectal surgeon at Columbia. Good luck to you and I wish you quick healing.

Re: Fissure Recurrence 10 Months Post LIS

Hi Mr F, Thanks for your hopeful and calming reply. That is my understanding as well, that if it recurs, that it should heal more easily. I can only hope and pray that that's how it will be. I guess the one good thing about having been through this before, is knowing to start the AF regime right awa...

Re: Can a person get a 3rd Lis?

Hi hopeful,

How are you feeling now almost a year later? Did you ever end up doing a resting pressure test or going for a 3rd LIS? Has diltiazem helped you heal at all after this whole ordeal?

xx

Re: Kenalog with Dr. Feingold

Glad to hear your BM pain was only a 2, hopefully this is a good sign towards a final recovery! Was the Kenalog injection painful? Though Dr. Feingold is not my doctor, I had my LIS surgery done last March with Dr. Kiran, the chief of colorectal surgery there, who works with Dr. Feingold. Though I s...

Fissure Recurrence 10 Months Post LIS

Hi all, Weird to be back here already. I had LIS on 3/31/16 after suffering for 7 miserable months with multiple deep fissures after a really bad bout of constipation. Surgery went well, so it seemed and I felt healed. However, the past two weeks I was constipated. I go everyday very regularly but i...

Re: New Mom Desperate To Heal

Hi Sadmama, I'm so sorry that you are going through this right now. I know how hard and painful this is. If you've been using Diltiazem for more than two months now and your fissure is still not healed, you may have to do another course of it (or GTN or Diltiazem). Also have you tried Miralax? This ...

When did you quit Miralax after LIS surgery?

Hey guys, My question is: when did you guys stop miralax after LIS surgery? Did you wean off of it, and if so, over how much time? did you end up retearing once you stopped? It has been 10 weeks since my LIS surgery, and things are going ok, I think. I was on vacation two weeks ago and brought my Mi...

Re: 11 months..and counting

CB, like felix said, I wonder if it could be a minor hemorrhoid issue? Especially because you are not experiencing any pain and also because the CRS said you were "healed". I always thought that the tiny specks of blood I'd get was due to my fissure. However, it wasn't constant and would h...

Re: General Surgeon for Sphincterotomy???

Hey PC, have you had any luck finding a colorectal surgeon yet? I'm so sorry to hear you're dealing with so much chronic pain. It can really drain you, but just remember, you're strong and you WILL get through this. I accidentally replied to you on my thread in regards to questions to ask your surge...
