Fissy-- (off topic!) its brown and only somewhat slick on top, not much at all, and underneath, the gills are like bone ossicles-yes, like a sponge -- that type of pattern, very small, and yellow green!

Thanks Tabby! You are always too sweet to me! Image I will also be praying for your upcoming A/D this week - everything will be fine sweetie. I can't wait to read about how your healed! Image
Jo - You do look so young. I can see why Fiss made the mistake! :D
Fiss - My dad lives in Northern CA and when I was little, he dared me to kiss a banana slug and I did - how gross is that??? Image Yes, Jack get ear infections constantly. He has ear tubes in. This is the first time I have ever seen green mucus come out of his ear and it is scary. The dang peds doc is not calling me back either - I am having bad doctor luck lately I guess.
GEEZ MY BUM IS SO SORE FROM ALL MY BM'S TODAY!!!! Image Image Image

Tubby sweetness - don't be so sad for me - I need you to be happy
and strong and get well so I can have somebody put that cattle on the stove since I will not be able to do that for long time it seems Image Love you dear buddy so much - I even made picture of myself in that silly paper gown Tuesday for you, but just don't have enough energy to cut and paste and such. Your Fissy will fight this thing - to the last breath - you know - like Braveheart !!!! I have to manage my pain though - or it will take the best of me Image
JO - Dervocet ot not LOL - you look 24 max on that picture Image !!! Was
your pain gone completely after 3 months Image ? have you been on stool softeners for the whole period ? Did your CRS prescribed Valium ?
Jen - I am so sorry that your baby is suffering so much - is his fiver down at least ??? Good that he at least have those tubes so his ears can drain and not damage the eardrum :( . Are you giving him decongestion medications ??? Put some in the nose too, even if it is open - it will make those passages even more open. I don't know whats up with doctors nowadays - just unbelievable .....
Kim - does it have white milk on the place where you cut it ( stem) ? If yes - it looks a lot like a mushrooms that grew in my country and was edible - just don't try LOL - they can mimic each other sometimes ! I used to pick mushrooms with my dad - he was and expert and we would have all kind of meals prepared with them , even pickled them : )))) ! I miss my dad...he would find me a best doctor in the world ...he knew how and he knew how to pull the strings ...and which one ....and when ...he was an amazing man. If he knew what is happening to me he would be turning in his grave Image Image Image

Fissy -
Actually the FDA recomeneds that children under 2 take absolutley no cold medicines (this actually came out this year). I guess in a couple children it caused some bleeding in their brains or siezures - I can't remember. Any how, in 6 more months I am going to start to use it on him. I think it will really help with the ear infections.
You take after your dad because I think your amazing too. He would pe proud Fissy! :)

They actually have out a whole line of natural medicines for kids called Hylands, but the best they can do is saline drops. So i put in the saline drops and use the bulb syringe. That is the best I can do for now. :(

Jen and Fiss,
Thanks for the lovely comments, I feel younger today!! Image
Dear Image Fiss,
I am such a slow Image healer. I have been taking miralax the whole time, everytime I forget a day or two I really regret it. I have some pain and/or bleeding. The stool softners didn't help me at all so I quit taking them within a few weeks. Unfortunately my pain and bleeding lasted about 4-5 months, I really thought it would never end and I would have to live like that forever :( . Since you healed so quickly last time, I just know you will Image heal quickly again.
I had the darvocet but I was always afraid Image to ask for the valium. I felt one of my problems was the tightening up of the pelvic floor, nothing seemed to help much. I did take flexeril that I had for neck pain, it may have helped a little.
Your Dad sounds amazing :D , I miss :( my Dad too.
Hoping you have a good night's sleep with no pain!
Sweet dreams,
:fairyelf:

Dear Jo - thanks so much for the detailed info - I might try Miralax Image . I now use MOM and Magnesium tablets and am staying away from Metamucil. I am so sorry that you had to suffer for such a long time Image Image , this is just so horrible what we have to endure Image. Do you still use Miralax every day ? Did you do your surgery at Mayo ? I am still much in pain (it is 12:30 after midnight )- I just had my last poop of a day Image. It was soft but still painful and there is one particular spot that hurts the most. When I was cleaning the area I felt same pain and it is coming from 6 o'clock position, position of my original fissure :( Image Image Image and I am now sure it opened again Image Now I have fissure 6 o'clock and fissurectomy 12 o'clock and that is just "dandy" Image :flush: . Oh well, I will take my meds now and go into the coma Image till morning and my first poop of the day , and there we go again Image.
Thank you soooo much for believing in my healing - it means a lot :sprinkleheart: since I lost hope and faith Image. I do not care how long it would take - just if I knew that it would surely happen , I would happily bear my pain Image Image Image . Thanks for everything JO Image , God bless you and your family Image
Jen- I am so sorry that there is no other alternative - I would go nuts Image . That is just CRAZY !!!!! First they stuffed babies with those meds
like with candies - now they do not have a single one that can help Image
I do not know what would I do without them when I had babies Image
brrrrrrr... Can you at least use Afrin spray ???? :(

Jen, what is wrong with your babe? I've been reading through all the posts and cant see the right one! My son had whooping cough when he was 2 (he WAS vaccinated against it!!) and that was so scary, and then after that he got croup constantly until he was about 7 .When he was congested and couldnt breathe, I run the shower with the hottest water and shut the door and just sat in the bathroom with him until his breathing got better. It relieved it a lot. I suppose, looking back i could have put a menthol crystal under the water too, they are good for congestion.
Fissy,
I hope you manage to get a good night's sleep and manage to get some valium for tomorrow. I know what idiots these doctors are when it comes to prescribing what we want, if we ask for something by name they wont give it to us. Maybe if hubby rings up and says that you need a piil to relax the muscles and stop the spasms, then maybe THEY will suggest the valium!! Maybe they just like to feel in control?? And dont like us smart-arse patients who know exactly what we need! Get some heavy duty painkillers so you at least dont feel so desperate. I know you have problems with pills the same as me. I had to recover from my surgery with just paracetamol and its no joke. Can you take tramadol? Just remember to up the softeners!!
Hope you start feeling better soon. XXXXXXOOOO

Fiss Image
So sorry you are in so much pain Image
I am not at all an expert on these things, and I have never had butt surgery, but (and don't be offended now) is it wise to touch the area with fingers, q-tips, etc. Shouldn't you just let it rest for a while. Take a short sits bath, shower it, gently dry with towel and blow dry.
Keep the area dry, lie on your side/belly so that it can heal and there is no pressure on it.
When I have bad days I do this, and I only wear a cotton pyjamas, as other fabrics/tight clothes creates humidity.
I wouldn't use a lot of creams down there either, think about the bacterias - and the humidity....
Don't touch the area, keep it clean, dry and don't put pressure on it by sitting - that's my advice.
Another ting, since you have so many BMs, should you take less MOM/stool softener. Several BMs a day is so bad for fissures/buttproblems...
And again, don't be offended Fiss, everything is said in love and because I care.... Ignore it if you don't like it :)

Did I Hijack your thread Jen?? or was it someone else... If I did - sorry.
