Hi i am 22 years old and I have been dealing with a fissure for over a year now. I got it when I was extremely sick and got very dehydrated. I was not sure what it was at first. I thought i could deal with the pain at first then it got so bad i was crying on the toilet. I went to my doctor and he told me I have a fissure. I have been trying an ointment type treatment for three months and it has not been working so we elected to have a fissurectomy and get a botox injection. I am getting the surgery in three days.
I am extremely nervous about it. I am afraid the recovery is going to be aweful. Any words of wisdom or advise??

hi there, since u r getting a fissurectomy, how come u aren't getting an LIS? have u explored this option with the CRS?

Hang in there. You have your youth in your favor, at least. Once you heal, you should heal just fine, hopefully.
