Hi fellow Anal Fissure sufferers ;)

I've had a lot of pain during BM (and sometimes blood on paper) for the last 6 weeks. I've decided to go to the GP today and he diagnosed my an anal fissure.

He prescribed me Nitroglycerin 0.2% to apply twice a day for 3 weeks.

But i'm not sure what amount to use, and also, if I should rub it externally or internally?

From what I understand, the pain during BM will not go away soon, even with this cream?

Just want to add that I used Preparation H suppositories for one week, twice a day: no pain during BM and no blood. As soon as I stop the suppo, pain and blood are coming back... Is that normal?

Could I just continue using those suppo until the fissure heals?
