Occasional blood from tag removal site

Postby tightbutt5678 » 22 Sep 2019, 05:22

Hi all!
So my fissure is all well and healed and I have been pain-free for almost 3 months now! Yay! Occasionally when I have a harder/spiky BM I get a small amount of blood. It doesn't really hurt but I am just ultra-aware of the area and it feels different of course. I know that the blood comes from the tag removal site so it seems as though the wound kind of reopens whenever I have a hard BM.

Has anyone else experienced this? I wonder how long it'll take for the skin to fully heal over so that slightly hard BMs don't cause any blood. The good news is that I don't have any pain and the fissure is definitely gone. But I just hope that eventually, I can forget about the tag removal site.
I am back to eating completely normal and only take magnesium when I feel I might need to compensate for any constipating food or drink. In general, life is great and I am positive that it'll get even better!

Keen to hear others experiences re. tag removal!

I had my lis same time as you if you remember me, I’ve been good until a week ago I had an odd half soft half hard bm, and seemed to get 2 new fissures. Was fine until then. They barely hurt just kind of itch, havnt seen blood. I’m hoping they heal up soon!

I’m also almost the same time out post OP as you give or take a couple of weeks.

My fissure definitely hasn’t healed, and I have a tiny bit of blood with almost every BM movement.

My existing tag site is Pretty sensitive and I can’t tell if that discomfort is coming from the unhealed fissure or the wound from the removal site.

Hey Jimoffy! Hope that they heal quickly and it isn't anything to worry about!

JulsPain, sorry to hear that you haven't healed yet. I feel like the tag site is something that takes longer to heal because it is/was a bigger wound. I'd say if you aren't in pain after BMs then it is probably the tag site. I get a bit of blood with a hard BM but it's not painful and zero pain during the rest of the day. So I think harder BMs simply scrape against the tag site which is still delicate and this causes some blood. Hoping it heals 100% at some point, hey!

I'm 4 months post LIS & 2 days ago i felt the Anal Fissure or the tag removed site sharpness during BM.
No blood whatsoever, no pain after BM or during the day, just small feeling of been a lil tight.
I hope this kind of ups & downs are part of the healing process.

My AF was Chronic + 2nd degree hemorrhoid removal.

Old LISers can differently help us in this matter.

Hi all! I am 5 months post LIS and tag removal now and it seems like I am 100% back on track. I haven't had any blood for more than 2 months now even with some hard BMs. Back to living to the fullest and not thinking about my butt or food at all! Very content and will write a longer post about this soon! :)
