Does anyone else pass mucous sometimes with a BM? Sometimes I see a little white blob of it in the toilet, but sometimes there is a huge long string of white mucous that comes out, and dangles from my bum into the water until I wipe it.

Yep, it happened to me a few times. Not too often, I don't think, and I have known of others on this board in the past who've noticed it, too. I'd say if it occurs regularly, it would be a good thing to bring up with your Dr. or CRS, but a little from time to time is probably harmless.

Seriously though ... I've had it too, quite a few times, but usually only when the fissure is really angry with me. Like that time I ate quite a lot of chilli sauce! I mentioned it to my CRS once and he was unimpressed. I did a bit of research myself when it first started happening, as I was worried, and it seems it is quite normal with an AF. Probably best to run it by your doc next time you see him/her anyway though.
