I'm new to this forum and new to anal fissures... (I'd never even heard of them until I looked online!) I was reading some stories on here and I was wondering, why are your fissures affecting your sex life?

Because when you are having anal spasms and your bum is hurting like hell the last thing you want to have is sex. Some times you can not even sit or walk because it hurts too. Orgasming can be painful because every thing inside you contract as well as your fissure ouch! But also there are different kind of fissures, some of them are very painful and other are tolerable. I think you need to find you own way, do it with care and try to avoid the positions that can be potentially painful. Every body is different and you and your husband can find a way to continuing having a healthy sexual life. Now if your fissure is a very painful one that's another story...
