Guys i just tried my first dose of nitro ointment and OMG it burned so badly for the last 20 mins or so plus mild headache. I realize the headaches are part and parcel but does it really burn like that each time its applied?! Ive had 3 very soft, relatively painless bms today but with the last one i saw what i thought could ve a pindrop of blood, stuck the applicator in ok, but as soon as i squeezed..... Holy burn.

I thought it was supposed to help the pain? Any of you with similar experience?

It shouldn't burn. I never had any burning from nitro. What is the drug mixed with? Mine was mixed with a vaseline-like substance. I wonder if you could get your nitro compounded with a different carrier that would not burn. Ask your doctor.
