Another spasm, but on the other side this time

Postby Moogdog2013 » 10 Feb 2014, 07:53

Hi all,

I've been suffering anal pain for the last two years now. At my last appointment with the specialist at the hospital they confirmed that my problem is muscular (though they didn't specify what I had). I've been continuing on the Amitryptiline etc and I have seen a mild improvement over the last few weeks with only the odd mild spasm which haven't lasted long and go away with ibruprofen. My spasms have always been confined to my left-hand side, until today when it seems to have shifted to the right :( I have no idea what has brought this on, and despite taking so e ibruprofen the ache is still lingering this time. This really is very frustrating, especially since I genuinely felt I might finally be getting somewhere with this. My BMs have been fine, so I really don't have a clue what could have brought this on. Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks

A

Hello,

I think you should get definite diagnosis, probably second opinion is worth to get.
Generally speaking spasms are terribly painful, and you can try also warm sitz baths to relieve pain.
