I think many of us LISers have retorn a couple of months after the surgery. I did too, although that was in an examination. I used diltiazem for months to get the fissure to heal again. It wasn't a total retearing for me, but still upsetting.

Hi SA,
I'm so sorry you have had this setback. Can you contact the CRS, or see your doctor to take a look? X

I think it's possible to tear a bit after LIS, but the saving grace is, that it will heal faster and without the awful spasms pre LIS because the muscle has been cut and is looser.
Try not to worry Anne.... And hopefully things will feel better in a couple of days if you are careful with your diet and drink plenty of fluids to stop hard stools forming.

Hi Rachael ! I'm sorry that you're still waiting.you mentioned that you MRI didn't show anything . that your bottom almost perfect is that mean you don't have fissure ? But then you have the symptoms of a fissure?

Hi,
Well, I had the MRI, no other issues. I think the Fissures are retearing. But now it's more and more. I am convinced the same monsters are open again. My CRS has referred me to another CRS. He thought everything looked normal. No way! I know this hell pain and I know I have fissures. He just didn't want to deal with me in the end..... I just pray this new man can sort me out once and for all. How are you now? Xxx
