Manomotry Pressure Probe

Postby ut_outdoorsman » 20 Apr 2014, 00:04

Hello.

I am mostly recovered from fissures, although I am currently having hemorrhoids treated (and I am still dependent on stool softeners), but my resting sphincter pressure is still high.

I know that with a high resting pressure, there is a high likelihood of recurrence. I want to continue to reduce pressure without pharmaceuticals or surgery, but I realized I don't have any way to measure progress. UNLESS. Unless there is a way to conveniently sphincter pressure.

Imagine that! Being able to check in and know if what you are doing is raising or lowering pressure. No more myths or superstition! Sitz baths? Yoga? Breathing exercises? 'This works! THis doesn't!' Wouldn't that be lovely?

Does anyone know of a pressure probe device that could provide this information? Has anyone undergone manomotry and know how that data could be be applied as a personal device?

This seems like such an obvious course of action... Why the hell isn't this a thing?!

I have had the pressure test done, and it really isn't straight forward to interperate the results. The technician said its a complicated and lengthy task analysing the data. I really can't think of how one could do the same thing at home to be honest!

Well, my thinking is that I don't need an exact calculation of the pressure. I just need to know if the pressure is 'more' or 'less' than from a previous test. That would allow me to test before and after certain exercises or stretches, for example, and that would allow me to see if the exercises help, hurt, or do nothing of significance.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find anything that would really help. I suppose the ol' finger is the most sophisticated piece of technology I could use to test it.
