I had LIS and Hem Banding 7 days ago. I am still getting a little discharge of blood and what looks like and smells like pus in the anul area. My butt looks like a war zone with LIS, fissure, roids and swollen tags. I can just see the head of the fissue and the rest is internal. I could not see where the discharge was comming from. I am not in pain from the BM's or after, but I feel am not healing. I am sore with a slight itch. I do not have a fever or chills, but I am concerned about infection. Anyone else have this type of issue? I have a call into my doctor.

What did your doctor say? I am 8 days post LIS/tag removal and have a small pea size lump that is itchy and burns. No other symptoms though.

I just got back from the doctor's office and was told a little of drainage can be part of the healing process. I have no fever and no major pain, so there was not much concern. The area looked like it was healing to the doctor and I am to do a follow up visit in one month unless my symptons change. I was also reminded to relax that it is a 6 week healing process and to stay on a high fiber diet, drink lots of water, take the MiraLax each day and no lifting of anything over 15 pounds for another week.

So glad it wasn't an infection!
