Anal sweat/Fissure?

Postby ddeel » 18 May 2014, 09:33

Hi guys,

My symtpoms are the following.
- Incomplete evacuation. When I do manage to go, I never feel like I fully empty. Sometimes I will get the urge to go again only 10 mins after previous visit.
- Almost constant mucous/wetness/ in my anus for most of the day, usually getting slightly better in the evenings.
- When the urge to go arrives (which happens more suddenly than before) I also get what seems to be massive sweating from my butt cheeks area. I'll be completely soaked in minutes if I don't go.

The sweating goes though everything. (also pants) it's emberrassing and affecting my life for three years now.I´ve had colonscopy/sigmoidscopy/rubber banding for hemmroids/pelvic floor therapy/x-ray defecography.

All is ruled out except for a fissure I have for more than a year.
I have had botox surgery half a year ago but dind't cure it.

This is the reason I subsribed to this website. The most imprtant question for me right now after strugging for over three years with this issue:

Is the ass sweat/anal sweat/(extreme when having the urge)/soaked behind(goes through my pants) related to a fissure!?
Do you guys have the same problem? My surgeon never heard of it going through a pants and I can't really find it on this forum so.
Thanks guys!!!!

Hi Ddeel,
Sorry to read you are having to deal with this issue on top of the fissure - I haven't come across anything of a similar nature on the site and am wondering if this is something slightly different you are having to deal with and maybe you need to see a different specialist to deal with it. It does sound like an excessive sweating type issue, which is less common but it happens! Botox is generally quite useful in assisting with these types of issues and it could be the treatment needs to be focused on possibly sweat glands in the area?
Is there anything in your diet that could be making things worse at all?
Do you suffer issues with IBS? or piles? Both can create the mucous in the stools you describe and internal piles can feel like you have incomplete evacuation at times because of the pressure in the rectum. It's almost a feeling of there is more to come out when actually there may not be - I know - I get this for sure!
I do hope you get some feedback from someone with more knowledge than myself here! and that you are able to resolve this issue very soon :) All the best to you.

Thanks for your reaction.

I have had botox when it all started against sweating. it still got wet there. So I still guess it's a combo of anal leakage and maybe the pressure on the fissure which causes sweating.
Yeah my doc stated that it could be ibs related. But all the docs I went through past years never experienced people with such problem.

BTW. When my stool is better formed/the sweating is less. However when have the perfect stool, it still get extremely sweaty before the bowel movement.

I read a lot of similar stores all over but those people never come back to their post.

are you sure you still have the fissure. Your symptoms don't seem like classic fissure symptoms, pain, spasm, burning. I agree with ETO, it might be something different causing the sweating. I hope you can find the answer you and get help.

Thnx for your reaction.

Yeah I still have the fissure. Some discomfort in the area and the fissure always seems a little wet when I look at it.

Red but really moist. Forgot to say the surgeon did also drain an prianal abcess during the fissure botox operation. For which she din't know it was even there.

Just glad to get a reaction from people knowing what a fissure can bring allong from a patients point of view.

I'm sure the wetness is not helping the fissure heal. Does your crs recommend LIS?

Have your doctors made any suggestions as to whether this might be a Vasovagal Reflex connected to IBS.

Here is a link to at least read something about this:

Ddeel,

Botox is used to treat excessive under arm sweating, but a Botox side effect can be excessive sweating in other areas of the body. If your ass sweating strated after Botox, you could be having a side effect.

I am post 19 day LIS surgery and hem banding and I am dealing with the mucous in the anal area with no fever. The mucous is part of the lube process for exiting of stools from the body if excessive it can be a sign of infection. I just wish it would go away.

Thanks guys for all the respond. Great community you got here.

@Apes:
No, my surgeon haven't suggested the LIS since i am 22 yrs old.

@savaici:

My doctors never told my anything about the vasogenal reflex, maybe I should ask.

and you mentioned have a wet bum to. Do you alsog get in with your fissure cured and in winters?

oh and btw guys:

I found this post on this exact forum:

''Hello, since getting my fissure I noticed it sweats a lot down there. Especially when out and about :-(. It can go through my undies and pants, it's humiliating. ''

(anal-sweat-t7727.html)

I just e-mailed the person. Hopefully he/she can respond. Fingers crossed.
