Thank you Roids. Forgot to say the doctor was so new, not even an attendee yet, maybe just a resident not sure, no one told me in advance his lack of experience and practicing on me.The fact that this is such a mystery bothers me almost as much as the symptoms. Though if the symptoms went away tomorrow, I could live with not knowing and move on. I could live with all the heartache, time, energy and money spent on this. I can't let it go because I already deal with other chronic medical issues for years that affect my daily quality of life (not related to this in any way), that I refuse to accept this on top of that.

I feel bad about all my complaining when all of you here suffer as well from your own issues. I am glad for this forum and appreciate your kindness. I will contact pinpin and see what he says. Thank you.

I got excited reading the article below because someone cured their bloating, only to find out it was hypnotherapy. The 2nd colon rectal surgeon wanted to refer me to a mental health specialist rather than take on the challenge to help me or find someone who could. I am not saying that stress does not play a part in this, but it's not the primary reason for most people and it felt like he was trying to cover up the mistakes of the 1st surgeon. That's not to say he knows what the mistake is for sure, but he must know it was surgery caused. I've had much more stress in life than the nervousness I felt before the surgery. At the very least the surgery indirectly caused something in me to get messed up. The fact that I am never ever normal also makes me feel like it's not about being depressed or stressed, all that came after the fact. I don't really have flares, it's always there even if I stop eating, with fluctuations when I eat. No, it's too much of a coincidence to start right after surgery. I know I have scar tissue but not sure if that is the problem, or if that caused stenosis or something.

That happened to a couple of my posts too. Now I check the posts are there before I leave the forum.

I don't know about hypnosis, but I definitely would not rule out that stress is contributing to your problems. Most people have probably experienced some kind of gut symptoms in response to a mental state, whether it be stage fright, a bad crush on someone, fear, or stress. We can get nausea, cramping, diarrhoea, and so on. There is no doubt in my mind that brain and gut are intimately linked.

My son was diagnosed with IBS. He would get bad urges to go to the toilet, diarrhoea, etc, whenever he had a chess tournament or important exam. Thankfully he's grown out of it, but it was clear that his nerves were affecting his digestive system.

It's not "all in your head" - it's as real and physical as hunger, fatigue, a rash, whatever.

I don't mean that that is your problem. I just mean don't rule it out. If you get bloating even if you haven't eaten anything, it's very hard to explain what is going on. I really hope you can find out the cause and get a cure. Please let us know how you get on.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Actually when I get nervous I go to the bathroom a lot, stomach hurts, but my stomach remains flat all the time, this has been the case for years. I never before bloated as a result of stress though. But even if the bloating is stress caused, it should fluctuate more with less and more stress, not go from bad to worse and never ever close to normal. That's why even though the mind and body are directly connected, it's hard for me to think that it's not more of a physical problem, MD caused :(

Resending post:

I don't know if I should post a new topic or not with a stenosis title. But I feel like I have stenosis, has anyone else experienced anal stenosis?

I feel this is my problem for the following reasons: 1. My stools have been thinner than my normal since the awful surgery. 2. After the surgery the original non board certified graduated 5 minutes ago "doctor" disappeared so I had to see a colleague of his who was really rude and unprofessional. She examined me for 2 seconds and said I do not have anal stenosis when I asked her. She said my bloating was unrelated to the anal skin tag surgery and walked out the door on me telling me I can't ask her anymore bloating related Q's. So 8 months later I call her and speak with her when I call the after hours line. She claims she never mentioned stenosis! That's all we talked about! That was the entire 2 minutes she spent on me. Naturally it's not in her chart notes and she even hung up on me despite the fact I never raised my voice, name called, wasn't disrespectful but was assertive asking her. It's as if she's trying to hide it now! and the 3rd reason I feel I have it is when I saw someone for 2nd opinion recently, he said I have a lot of scar tissue. Scar tissue can lead to stenosis. Yet when I asked him if I have stenosis he said he couldn't tell! He said maybe, not sure, could be...or else you are tense due to the examination. Gee, that was really worth the $300 office visit. His office won't give me his chart notes either. But he did tell me during the appointment that I was wasting his time because there wasn't a surgery for him to do (meaning there wasn't quick and easy $ for him). He even told me to see a mental health specialist which is when I showed him my before photos when I went from a 23 inch waist to thirty whatever it is now. Seems to me he's trying to protect the original doctor. He spoke with the G.I. doctor I saw despite my explicitly telling him and his office to not share chart notes or communicate with my G.I. doctor, because I knew he would only talk trash and influence the G.I. doc, I never filled out paperwork saying it was Ok to do so, but I was certainly clear verbally and in email.

What do u guys think? How can my stools be thinner every single day that I actually go, and yet not have stenosis? The first follow up doctor who is at that clinic I get cut up should have at the time of the appointment that I don't have stenosis because of these following reasons ie the opening is within the norm of however many millimeters. She didn't back it up at all. And now she's saying it never even happened! I am so frustrated I have been crying all day at work. I don't know that it's fixable and I am so exhausted all the time carrying around this watermelon :(

Here is a woman who experienced what I am, and maybe I am headed in her worse direction, but she cured herself "naturally" with stuff that she's profiting from. Ugh, it frustrates me so much, I thought I found someone in my shoes who got better but I have no idea what her deal is now :(

Any advice appreciated. Thank you.
