Why!!!

Postby T8Y1OR » 11 Sep 2014, 03:53

I am starting to feel like I can't win! Been really good with food and drink and then I have re torn! I can only think it's down to sweet potato or ice cream I have a very small amount of ice cream don't think it's that but I can't be sure!

So frustrated!

I'm going to the races on Saturday and have no idea if I can have a drink or not now!
This is slowing ruining my life!

I'm no help but I can empathize with having a sore down there non stop. It's exhausting and ruins so much of lifes enjoyable things! Hopefully things will feel better real fast for you!

I'm so sorry! I know exactly what you're feeling. I'd put money on it being the ice cream. A tiny piece of ice cream cake caused my retear. I eat sweet potatoes almost everyday. They're my go-to meal when I can't eat what my family is having.

So sorry T8. We do know how you feel and I am so sorry!
mmklinemm - it is so interesting because sweet potatoes are the one thing I avoid at ALL cost. They totally bulk up and harden the stool and I have to drink tons of water to help digest them. I can have maybe one bite. It's just crazy how different people are. That is part of the frustration of these is the trial and error. If we all had a one-size fits all instruction book it would make this a lot easier.

I'm sorry you are having a tough time.... Retares are always a bitter pill to swallow, especially when such military precision is taken over every bite we eat!
I hope things start to settle back down soon!

T8, sorry for your pain and we all know what this does to your social life, but you have to get this healed. Its great that you have been taking care of your diet, everyone has their different triggers and it's hard to figure sometimes. I can only suggest if you think something is a problem avoid it, it's not worth the setback. Through my expierence I dropped 15 LBS, since I put a few back on and can now eat pretty much what I want in moderation. So if I go off my healthy diet, the next day I'm right back to it. I was slightly over weight when this started, but now I'm exercising keeping the weight off and feeling so much healthier. Maybe my wife is right I got the fissure because it was what I needed to get my life on a good healthy track. I wish you the best.

The sweet potato would have been the culprit for me.

I have learnt that I can still go out for meal with family or friends but instead of a meal I go straight to dessert and have ice cream sundae or cake (no nuts!!) They are some of the things I can actually have.
We joke about being an adult allowing you to skip dinner when you wouldn't let your kids do it :)
