Hi Elizabeth, I'm sorry you are in such pain.
It is still early days though - especially for tag removal, which can take a long time to heal. Try reading other people's stories and get an idea of how long it might take. I know you are in horrible pain right now, but hang in there, you will heal. Hopefully there is a bit of progress every day, and eventually you will notice that you've turned a corner and are doing better.
The "apple pip" is probably the scab from the tag that was removed, right? That should go away pretty soon I imagine.
Keep looking after yourself, come here and vent - let us know how you get on.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

quick update
BM more solid so less pain...trying to get a balance of how much laxative to take still .
seeing nurse tomorrow just to check healing is all ok to put my mind at rest
i understand the healing process a little more now and im assuming pain is from weeping/healing wound i read somewhere to use a sterile gauze to keep area dry from weeping , would you advise this ?
many thanks again x

Hi Elizabeth,

Using the sterile gauze pads are fine. I used 4" X 4" 12 ply design folded in half and simply placed it between my cheeks to catch any weeping. I did not use any tape to keep the pad in place as the tape can cause a rash.

You also note using a laxative. I would recommend using a stool softener like Miralax or Colace as they are not as harsh as a regular laxative.
