I've been healed for 6 months :-)

Postby sugarspice » 10 Dec 2014, 13:47

Hi everyone,

For those who don't know my story, I had a long, deep and chronic anal fissure for a year. I had 2xrounds of botox that sadly didn't work for me. Then I had LIS and I haven't looked back! :D

I didn't want to post in the 'Success Stories' until 6 months after surgery. I can now safely say I am FULLY healed. Here are the things I can now do...

Eat normally (I still have 2xsachets of laxido/movicol a day, but I don't think I really need it now, I'm just nervous!)
Exercise
Have sex
Poo without any pain whatsoever, during or afterwards.

I would never have got through this hell without the support of the people on here, you know who you are! JHH especially, you were amazing #wells up#, you got me through some of my hardest time and I will never ever forget that. Thank you :smilyhug:

For all those who I not yet healed I think about you every day.

We should all meet up one day, I can see us now around a buffet table full of soluble fibre based foods lol

I would recommend LIS to anyone who is suffering as much as I did. Find a reputable surgeon, who has a high rate of success and go for it.

Love to you all
SS xxx

PS - I just wanted to add one thing for everyone. If I ever have 'the runs' I need to get to the toilet quickly! Not sure I would have an accident, but my bum muscles are def 'a bit' weaker than they were. I also had food poisining a few weeks ago and unfortunately it was coming out of both ends at the same time. The force of being sick gave my bum muscles no chance lol. But all in all my muscles are still doing their job really well :-)
