This is a great forum.

I had botox for Anal Fissure at the end of April (had 2 hems banded while also there).

The effects were shocking, but now into my eight month after the treatment I still find it difficult to hold in a fart.

In fact, I can't if I am standing up. It is as if the Botox is still making my muscles weak after 8 months!

Has anyone who has had Botox for AF had such long lasting effects.

Botox usually wears off within 12 weeks.. Have you been back to your doctor?

Yes went back to the doctor and he didn't seem to take me seriously, saying the botox must have leaked.

Doesn't explain why I still can't hold in gas if I need to.

I think you should probably get a second opinion... Botox should have worn out by now since it is only temporary...
