will this make things worse? irritate the area? baring in mind pure aloe vera made things worse.

i need help. very red and sore.

I tried Manuka honey on my fissure and couldn't handle the intense stinging pain that brought on. There is another on here (OMB) who I think had some success with it but I think also said it burned.

i tried the pure manuka honey out of a tub once ages ago, it was so grisly and actually felt like sandpaper as i applied it which would surely only make things worse

Yes, I used a medi honey called activion. I used it on a big fissure I developed after surgery... I think it helped alot to heal the deep fissure... But I was using it at a time I was convalescing and not moving around... It does tend to spread.
You could try a small amount at night, and use a barrier cream of some sort around the area.

Perpnally I swear by medihoney. It's the only cream my skin doesn't react to. Everything else i come out in a horrible rash!! It's soothing and I hope it is getting me towards that healed forum.
