Possible new problem

Postby sotiredofthis » 26 Jan 2015, 18:38

I had LIS/tag removal in April of 2014 and then another tag removal/steroid shot procedure in October 2014 for constant burning pain when sitting. I still have the same burning pain. I updated my other thread about that.

Today I noticed near my anal opening on the side of my incision there is a small red bump. I'm terrified it's an abscess! Is it possible to have an abscess this far out from surgery? If any of you had one, how did you know it was an abscess and not just something like a pimple?

I just want this all to be over!!!!

Sorry to hear of your continuing difficulties SOT....... I've not had an abcess.... But I would go and get it checked out just in case. Is the area around it red or hot?
If its small it will be easier to sort out, so get seen sooner rather than later.
