I just got my fissurectomy yesterday with skin tag removal. I haven't had my first BM yet so I wanted to know what to expect after having one. How much pain will I be in after the BM? Anyone else here have this experience?
Misdiagnosed with hemorrhoids in summer and fall '14
Diagnosed with an anal fissure in around Sept '14
Nifedipine cream since late '14
Tried botox around Oct/Nov '14
Hemorrhoid mistaken for skin tag until early '15
Fissurectomy April 1st '15

Hi Laban. I had LIS surgery and then had another surgery for a recurring infection. Both times I found it absolutely pertinent to make sure I had pain meds in me for my BMs. The spasms that follow can be really bad. I would always have a warm bath ready to jump into afterwards. What do you have for pain meds?

3 X internal sphincter botox
'08-'15 Botox for pelvic floor dysfunction
Nov '14 LIS/sentinel tag removal
Feb '15 Deroofing of recurrent infection from LIS
summer '15-healed but still ongoing muscle dysfunction/pain

I take hydrocodone for pain.
