I'm glad that you're feeling better! The fissure pain took me about a week to heal but hopefully you're over the hump and full relief is just around the corner. Just take it one day at a time.

So far it's going okay, pain has almost completely subsided and still on antibiotics.
Lincoln: Likewise, I hope we heal quickly and with as little complications as possible.

Hi Christie thanks for your post! It's been 10 days since my surgery and I am still having some mild fissure pain during bm and shortly afterwards. My incision site is almost better but still a little sore to sit too long. Just wondering how you are going? Not sure how long it's normal to still have some fissure burn for!!

Update: I had my follow up after the whole abscess situation last Thursday. It seems that for now there are no other complications, and the CRS prescribed another week of antibiotics, just to be on the safe side. I've been off the strong pain meds since last Wednesday (since the abscess draining procedure I had been taking them in the evening). For now just taking tylenol when the discomfort of sitting a bit too long (which at this point too long= over an hour). I'm still vigilant and watching out for any other issues or complications. Hope everyone else is out there with these issues is also healing.

Christie that's great news! I am much better too! I never had an abscess like you. Tomorrow is two weeks since my LIS and I'm feeling almost dare I say normal?! It's been almost a year of constant fissure pain but I think and pray my nightmare has ended.
