Don't you hate how taboo it is? xD

Postby Mae » 23 May 2015, 01:01

Sometimes I find myself annoyed by how taboo the topic of anal fissures is! Like if I'm having a bad day and a coworker asks why I seem upset, I want to be able to tell them *why* without them getting all uncomfortable.

And the other day I was talking with my best friend and I discovered she probably has a fissure cuz she said she has pain & bleeding every time she goes. We were on our way to the grocery store so when we got there I marched right over to the the Metamucil aisle and started raving about the wonders of psyllium husk (like i do) and she got embarrassed and made us pretend we were buying it for her grandma.

I used to be like her, but I'm getting less and less embarrassed about it as time goes by.
Everyone poops!!! :poop: :stars:
● Fissure first appeared Nov '14
● Cycle of healing and reappearing
● Using conservative methods (metamucil, managing anxiety)

Everyone DOES poop! lol. I know what you mean Mae. I have been hiding from my Neighbours because they knew I went in for surgeries and haven't run into them yet, thankfully. But the time will come when I do and I am sure the wonderment of what I had done will come up and I am NOT looking forward to that. Guess I'll have to get over it sometime...sigh.
