Question

Postby clare055 » 14 May 2015, 08:22

So my mother just gave me these ointment things to hemorrhoids. I had this white lump thing in my anus.
Can you guys tell me what should I use and how to use these?

I have Preparation H cream and ointment.
I also had TUCKS cooling pads, I heard witch hazel is a good ingredient against hemorrhoids/fissures.
I had no idea how frequent or what side effects they will cause.

Thanks!

Hi Clare, can you tell us a bit more about the lump? Since you say it's white I'm going to assume its outside your anus (since you can see it).
Is it painful? How big is it?
Tucks are good, very soothing and make it easy to wipe completely clean without rubbing a lot.
If you get witch hazel make sure there is no alcohol in it.
I have never used prepH. Maybe somebody else can advise.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Yeah it is outside my anus. It is not that visible but when I "push" it shows more. It is a little less the size of a pea. I can't see much but it is a little white-ish. What does TUCKS do anyway? I want to know the effects of it before I use it since I don't want this to get worse. It is a little painful and uncomfortable especially when I sit but I had tolerance to it like in my anal fissure one.

The doctor said it is probably internal hemorrhoid vs skin tag but it's weird as my previous doctor didn't detect any hemorrhoids but only a fissure. He said that it will be gone automatically after weeks but you know I had to take action any can for it to be well.

So I'm currently using the Prep H. It does give relief after defecating but not solving the entire problem much haha
