so i guess I'm saying Hi! i've been reading and browsing this site for a while... thank you all for your courage to speak of the unspeakable- it has meant the world to me... I've been suffering from a fissure about 2 months- abscessed about 3 weeks later and have a fistula as a result?! had botox 6 days ago... hopeful, but frustrated to say the least... well that's my tad of an introduction- thanks again for being here and sharing! i will do my part - if or when i can to help! Happy healing all!!

Sorry that you had to be here reading about this issue, but like all of us before you, we were all thrilled to find a forum that provides so much information and support.

Are you seeing a CRS already? And if so, what did they say about the fistula (are they not going to treat it)? I hope that the Botox does the trick and that you are already well on your way to healing.

Hi Chachacha! Yes, I've been seeing a CRS - I had a fissure and an abscess 8 years ago, so when it happened this time I knew who to call :) He doesn't want to do anything about the fistula at this time - he says he is not ready to cut just yet... he is hoping that when everything calms down and heals that the fistula won't hurt anymore. Well - I don't know- but sure am hoping he is right!!!

Good to hear that you're in the right hands.

And again, good luck with your current treatment. I hope that you see the back of this fissure permanently.
