So Botox apparently healed my Chronic fissure but this new debridement has caused a whole new ulcer and a world of pain on the anterior side. But yay for Botox. I can't wait until I'm healed.
Suffering since June 2013

Methods tried:
GTN cream - migraines!
Manuka Honey / Coconut oil / Aloe
tag excision X 2, botox x 3
Dilatiazem
dilatation 2 X daily + Retin-C Vitamin Scar Treatment Oil 2 X daily - best thing ever.
Now pain free 2/7/21

I"m not totally healed, like though I'm not bleeding my fissure will itch and be painful sometimes. I follow a low residue diet combined with wheat free/gluten free. I drink sugar free juice mix added to water so I stay hydrated. I hate normal water taste, makes me ewy :/.

I eat 750mg chewable magnesium before bed with a glass of water before bed. It helps soften my stool. I take lactulose a couple times of week to unclog everything.

I use aloe in and on my bum. Petroleum jelly too. Soft wet wipes. 7mg daily of my fiber supplement. I follow my food allergies and try not to eat triggering things.

Honestly I never thought my world would revolve around my bum :D lol

Diltiazem + Keeping BMs soft and regular through strict diet control.

Mine were easy to heal once I discovered the above combination (took 3 months of very painful trial and error to find the right combination) but now I need to constantly maintain soft BMs even though I've been healed for over 6 months. Any hard BM and I get minor retear that takes couple of days to heal again.

Nifedipine, tons of water, tons of praying, coconut oil suppositories, sitz baths with Epsom salt or coconut oil, lots of avocados and less sugar & refined/ enriched foods. Squatting when going to the bathroom. If I feel itchy I use desitin rapid relief.

Shakdang, same with me! Once a month I seem to slip on my h2o intake or something! And then I have just that one hard BM and I'm back to square one!

I've had my fissure on and off for 6 months now. I don't think things are looking too good for me :/ I'm just going to stay positive and hope I'm a lucky one and that these Are just minor set backs! :whew:

Agree with the squatting!
Diet for me is a hit and miss thing. Doesn't seem to achieve consistent results. I had the familiar ripping sensation when on strict diet control = avocados, carrots, oranges, prunes, plenty of fluid. Other times completely fine when I compensated with chips, fries, fried chicken, pizza, fizzy drinks. Still dont know how it works.

Stool softener for a month worked for me (laxido, movicol)

Kept the stool soft slowly the pain from the fissure was reduced.

I still take it every morning, it doesn't taste great and it is embarrassing when people are around have to go do it discretely but well worth it compared to the agony of a painful poon

My fissure wasn't that bad, but it was persistent enough and caused some really bad spasms that diltiazem wasn't helping enough. I missed 2 months of work and lost nearly 50 pounds!

I got put on a stool softener Constella and it turned me around in 2-3 days. Loving life currently!
