Do anal spasms come and go?

Yesterday I had 3 bowel movements! Today I am struggling with one although the urge to go is there. Has anyone found this or are your symptoms fairly consistent?

Hi, spasms can come and go. Lots of people can have a pain free bm and then an hour or so later have spasms that last all day. It's also not uncommon for people suffering with a fissure to feel the urge to go even when you don't have to. Try sitting on a warm heating pad. Heat sometimes relaxes the spasm. Sitting in a warm bath can help too. Suzy

My spasms don't hurt at all and only happen when I go to the loo-just a tightness-no pain thankfully

Spasms for me at least, start 2 hours after BM's and than last for about 36 hours. Of course, I don't want to use the bathroom in this period and then it gets worse. It's a literal nightmare.
