Diltiazem

Postby change » 04 Dec 2015, 09:16

I was prescribed 180 MG Diltiazem capsules for arrhythmia a few years ago. I now have a self diagnosed AF. I am wondering if someone that is taking this drug for AF can tell me what form and strength they have been prescribed. I am not a fan of going to the doctor and wanting to see what I can do on my own. Any help would be appreciated. Also - could someone help me understand the time to heal that i should be expecting? I have had the issue for about 3 months with a more concentrated effort to self heal in the past 2 -3 weeks.

Hi there. You cannot use the oral meds to treat an anal fissure. Diltiazem for fissures comes as an ointment/cream, as does Nifedipine (both calcium channel blockers) and Rectiv, which is GTN. All in different prescription dosages than that of the oral medication. I suggest you chat to your doctor and mention these medications.
