I was inspected yesterday by a gastro and he said I don't have any skin tags. He then said that he couldn't see any sign of a fissure on my anal canal even though the doc said I had two last week????

I couldn't let him see inside because it was too sore(Impacted stool for 5 days which has gone using magnesium) The outside bit is sore and a little inflamed

Anyway my question is...if he cant see any skin tags do I have a fissure??

I can't diagnose a fissure, but tags usually form after a fissure becomes chronic. I didn't have a tag until a few years after my diagnosis, but my fissure was quite high up in the canal. I would guess that fissures that are closer to (or on the opening) would develop tags sooner, but even they don't do so until they're chronic.

I could certainly feel the pain, but the doctor couldn't see it at all, until he took a gloved finger and felt around up inside. When he found it though, I could feel exactly where it was! OUCHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
