I feel helpless

Postby Lennysmama » 01 Jan 2016, 16:54

I'm in so much pain I don't want to eat. I'm so hungry but I just am so scared of a BM... I have an 8 month old that I don't even want to take care of today because I'm in so much pain.. Has anyone ever been in this spot before? Please talk me through it.... Thank you

Hi, I totally understand the horror of all painful af and trying to be a fully functioning mama!
Have you been to a doctor or tried any of the creams? I see you say you have scar tissue problems so imagine you must have at some point.
You are really not alone and I know that coping with chronic pain and the demands of little people is really tough so am sending you a big hug

Thank you! Thankfully my girl is being very good today. I've been to a CRS and have had the Botox surgery for the fissure. I go back to see her on the 6th I think. Can't wait. She did give me lidocaine jelly but I feel like it's doing nothing.

Could you try something like movicol so that you can eat but keep stools soft? I haven't tried it but others on here seem to swear by it. I think eating is important to keep your strength up so you have the energy that you need to heal and take care of your little person. Could you eat really safe foods like rice, sweet potatoes or fish. I really hope you feel better soon

What is that? A type of stool softener? I do take miralax nightly. Does it work better than that? I'll have to look it up. Thank you. Today I've just stuck to fruit and some potatoes.

Hi, if you're taking miralax increase the dose until your bms are comfortable. That's the nice things about it. Good luck and feel better soon.

I think it's the same as miralax, I am in the UK so it may have a different brand name here. Glad you have managed to eat a little. Take care.
