Healed!

Postby felix » 21 Jan 2016, 12:36

So I went to crs today as have been having some painful bowel movements and soreness. He had a look and said I was healed and any pain was from scar tissue or sentinel pile...I would be happier but still have soreness so can't quite believe him but hope this gives hope to others that healing can occur even with soreness x

Good to hear you say that. I too have soreness and irritation from BMs (but no more acute pain) and I'm wondering if the pain is just from piles and a tender scar area. This whole process is soooo sloooww... In the time I've been healing from this one stupid cut in my ass, I've had an infected wound heal up from a skateboarding tumble (antibiotics), a fungal infection and skin rash clear up after a stay in a grimy hotel, and fought back two head colds. The human body is at once so resilient and yet so fragile.......

Honestly I was in the middle of the most irritation and soreness I have had for months and was convinced I had retore so sounds like you are doing ok too...flipping horrible thing to have and I agree that it takes forever to heal, I have been struggling for a full year so it does drag on! How long have you had yours? Hope you continue to get better :D

happy for you, god willing the pain will come to an end for all of us.

Well I am having pain on bm again but is is achy and sore, seems to be coming from an inflamed skin tag so no idea what is going on! My crs seemed to think that scar tissue and the psychological aspect of worrying and anticipating Pain had a huge role to play in pain after physically healing. I am not convinced it is really healed but keep reassuring myself that this person is a specialist and should know what is going on!!!! Are you in pain when having a poo or all the time? Have you had any treatment yet?? Hope you feel better soon as well x

It's been about 4 months since I started having problems. I was on compounded nifedipine + hydrocortisone cream for a while, most recently i saw a GP who prescribed just nifedipine. Hard to tell if it has helped or if it's just healing naturally. I'm just glad I'm not getting that same pain as when it started, can take some time and try different things and figure out how to finish the healing. Although if this goes on much longer I'm going to insist on seeing a CRS and ask about surgical options, even though the pain isn't debilitating...
