New in here, please suggest me

Postby Myitzu » 17 Mar 2016, 16:48

This is my first introduction to this forum and lucky that I found this forum and thanks for the information. Let me tell my pain history first, so you can guide me the right way.

I got diarrhea while I took antibiotic for flu in last five months. When I had bowel movement, I got sharp pain even my stool was dark liquid, then I went to see a GP who gave antibiotic and he gave me codeine syrup to relief from diarrhea, it stopped but pain was still in my butt hole.

I saw GP again and he gave me Protosedyl suppository and ointment without physical examination. I had used for one week and not getting better, so went to see GP again and he told me to apply for another a week. After two weeks later, I felt better but I got pain again in another two weeks time. This time, GP did physical finger examination and gave me same medication for a week to apply. I have asked for the pain source that is haemorrhoid (inner) and he told me that pain from stress and he hasn’t told me that was haemorrhoid.

My pain was on and off, atleast once in a fortnight, in the mean time, I have seen with Chinese doctor, took Chinese medicine, apply cream. Not totally cured for me, finally same GP referred to specialist and when I booked, I have to wait 3 months time (Sydney, Australia).

My pain was on and off, blood found in tissue at least once in a fortnight, then I was googled for the local good GP and went to see him.

This time, the GP listened carefully about my pain history, checked my abnormal area and butt area with surgical light. He told me that I have small anal fissure, not haemorrhoid and have to apply Rectogesic ointment 1cm strip, two times a day. I have used for 10 days and felt better but two days ago, my stool became hard and kicked my anal and found blood again, even I ate vegies, fruits, and drink lots of water.

Now, I am in pain again and I would like to know that I should apply cream for 3 times daily for faster healing as ointment tube dosage says.

Thanks in advance and greatly appreciated,
Kind regards,
Myit Zu

:wel:

You need to use the Rectogesic for at least 6-8 weeks, on a regular basis (how your doctor ordered) to see if it will heal the fissure. Stay away from Protosedyl. It has cortisone and thins the skin.

Also, using extra cream will not help speed the healing process so I would go with what the doctor said. Excess can sometimes cause a rash. And another also: only use it on the outside of the anus. You don't need extra pain! :affraid:

Bleeding is always something to mention to your doctor, though it is quite common to have bright red blood, which originates very close to the anus. Blood that is dark/tar like requires a visit to your doctor. Hope this helps :D

I have told Doctor in last time, normally happened once or twice and only found in toilet tissue but this time it happened two days straight but very bright flash blood, only in the middle of bm, but no dripping or something after that. When I applied ointment, after bm, no blood found on my finger, cover with glad warp.
Thanks indeed Savaici, you guys and this forum really save our lives, greatly appreciate it.

Hi Savaici,
I have received the H-Fissures natural oil, can I use both with oil and Rectogesic? I mean, not in the same time, after few hours later. I have been using Rectogesic for 6 weeks now and felt better but when I had hard form stool then I got flash blood again, is it usual ? I felt better in two weeks and blood again then I had to start from stage one to heal again, like a cycle, :-( and this morning, hard stool and found blood, again :-(

One of my mate who is Indian doctor tired to get the medicine from Indian, called Himalaya Pilex tablet and ointment, mainly use for haemorrhoid but heal for fissure as well. My mate has 1 year experience and cured with this Himalaya Pilex.
Have someone tried that medicine, I have started using today, immediately feel soothing with ointment but don't know about tablet effect, he told me to take with Daflon 500mg as well.
Please share with me if you have or had experience with Himalay Pilex, many thanks.
