I have had chronic frequent stoolls since surgery, at least 10 a day and have had anal fissure for two years. So far no creams work. Have appointment to see surgeon. Pretty discouraged. On a pretty restrictive post colectomy diet as it is. Glad to find this support group today. Any others with fissure after colectomy.

Hello and welcome to the Forum :)

Sorry I can't say I'm in your situation but I've had my fissure for 3 years now or so.

Positive vibes sent your way - its a long tough road but I pray that things get easier for you.

Methods tried:
GTN cream - migraines!
Manuka Honey / Coconut oil / Aloe
tag excision X 2, botox x 3
Dilatiazem
dilatation 2 X daily + Retin-C Vitamin Scar Treatment Oil 2 X daily - best thing ever.
Now pain free 2/7/21
